About NDIS
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides support for Australian with a permanent and significant disability and their families and carers. The scheme is a great initiative offered by the Government which provides a paid allowance for treatment to any under the age of 65 with a disability.
The NDIS is responsible for funding allied health and other therapy services that are related to a person’s disability and towards their goals. These therapies fall under the NDIS “Capacity Building” Supports. Physiotherapy is funded under the “Improved Health and Wellbeing” and/or “Improve daily living” categories of your Capacity Building Budget. If you have funds allocated to this category then you can access physiotherapy services.
If your current budget is allocated to other categories but you would like to receive physiotherapy services then you can make changes at your next plan review, provided there are adequate goals to be achieved. Our expert NDIS registered physiotherapist can also help you complete and assessment with a report that you can use for your proposed plan. Contact usto find out more.
